Relief to Türkiye & Syria - How to Help

With the current devastating earthquake that hit Southern Türkiye & Syria that affected more 12.7 Million people and the number of casualties daily increasing it is crucial to intervene as quick and possible and provide assistance where it makes the best impact.

We have donated to the majority of the relief organizations working in Türkiye & Syria and found that the process can get confusing. We have compiled the easiest way to donate and help the relief effort.

Donating to AFAD ( Türkiye's official disaster and emergency management )

1. Follow this link : https://en.afad.gov.tr/campaigns
2. Scroll down to the Earthquake Humanitarian Aid Campaign ( Img 1 )
3. First Select English and Fill out your information. Select Desired amount and currency. And select Submit. CAD to USD rate is around 1.38 ( Img 2)
4. Insert your credit card details and select submit. You will get an email receipt with your donation.
5. Or you can simply wire money to the IBANs listed in the first page if you prefer not using a credit card.

Donating to White Helmets ( Syria )

1. Visit their link https://www.whitehelmets.org/en/
2. Select desired amount, currency and if you want the donation to be a one-off or monthly.
3. Fill your details and select Canada as country.
4. You can via Paypal or Credit Card and fill out the details.
